The new ECO mode

KÄRCHER is the first manufacturer of high-pressure cleaners to introduce an ECO mode on its new generation of hot water units. In ECO mode the machine operates in the most economical temperature range (60°C) and at the maximum water flow rate. Compared to full-load operation at 80°C, fuel consumption is reduced by up to 20% by optimising burner operating cycles.

Service switch

The service switch offers a choice of five settings to suit local water hardness. This allows the correct metered quantities of machine protector to be added, also preventing limescale build-up on the heater coil and other components. Furthermore, operating data (machine service) can be called up at any time.

Easy Press and Servo Control

The Easy Press trigger gun significantly reduces holding and operating effort.

The precise Servo controller allows the user to adjust the water flow rate and operating pressure directly on the trigger gun.

Three-piston axial pump

The new, optimised pump design offers high efficiency and a long service life.

Detergent switch

The detergent switch is used to select the exactly metered quantities required from either of the two detergent tanks. In the “O” position (feed off), the system is rinsed clear with fresh water.

4-pole motor

The new 4-pole motor features improved bearings, providing up to 9% longer life on 240V versions and lower noise.

Power nozzle

The patented KÄRCHER Power nozzle cleans large areas thoroughly with more power and efficiency. Compared to a conventional nozzle, the Power nozzle’s sharp-contoured spray jet of large droplets increases impact pressure by up to 40%.

Flue gas temperature sensor/Stainless steel

The flue gas temperature sensor inside the flue shuts off the machine when the flue gas temperature exceeds 300°C. This ensures greater safety for both the machine and the operator.

Chassis

The chassis is made of tough corrosion-free plastic. It has an all-round bump guard and built-in fuel and detergent tanks.

Accessory compartment

Each machine has a large capacity hinged accessory compartment for stowing tools, accessories and machine protector products (except MX model).

High-pressure hose reel

The fully integrated high-pressure hose reel with 20 metres of high-pressure hose can be easily unwound and rewound. The sturdy, fold-out aluminium crank handle can be stowed and locked in position when it is not in use (MX model only).

Fine mesh water filter

The fine mesh water filter upstream of the float tank traps suspended matter and protects the high-pressure pump from impurities.

Ceramic pistons

The axial pump features three hard, wear-resistant ceramic pistons, guaranteeing an exceptionally long wear life.

SDS Soft damping system

The SDS soft damping system compensates for pressure surges in the high-pressure system and prolongs the life of all high-pressure components including the heater coil).

Service friendliness

The combination of improved layout and a cover that is very easy to remove completely means all machine components are easily accessible for faster maintenance.

Spray lance

The machine is equipped with lance holders on both sides of the cover for secure stowage and transportation.

Defined lifting points for forklift

New, defined lifting points for handling with a forklift truck – ideal for loading and unloading.

Tie-down points

Defined rope attachment points for safe transit.

Manoeuvrability

Sturdy large diameter wheels with rubber tyres and casters for trouble-free manoeuvrability, plus new handles in a better position for easy pushing, pulling and steering.

Tilting aid

The tilting aid enables the machine to be raised at the front to overcome obstacles such as steps and kerbs.

System care

The new machine protector system protects heater coils and machine components against the build-up of limescale. The cleaning agents in the Advance series machine protector chemical are formulated to protect and maintain the whole machine. The practical 1-litre bottle is inserted in its integral holder and the machine immediately identifies the care product being used. New to the range is a care additive for the high-pressure pump which also protects it against black water contamination (rust in heater coil due to very soft water). The service switch enables accurate diluting of the machine protector chemical to best suit local water hardness.
